Expressing his dedication to educating young architects and designers, Simon was an adjunct professor for architecture design at Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, and Philadelphia University for over 17 years; additionally Temple University a few years. He continued on as an architectural critic at a number of colleges, and universities. Afterwords, Simon sustained as teaching assistant for Zaha Hadid at a number of universities, including Columbia, Harvard, and Yale, until Zaha's untimely death in March 2016.
